The concept of pairing the two leading millennial taste, milk tea and takoyaki was also created by its two millennial owners, Pauline Anne Bongon and Kim Edward Banzuela. They said that ever since they were in college, they were already caught up with the taste of takoyaki while enjoying it together with a milk tea, these two food products are present trend nowadays and a lot of businesses opened to offer this kind of products. For Bongon and Banzuela, they used to order and spend a lot for these products most of the time just to fulfill their appetites. In starting up their business, they experienced a hard time in deciding what will be their focus and what product to offer and it is mainly about choosing between milk tea and takoyaki yet in the end they agreed to offer both products in their business. From their personal choice of what to eat, they are now introducing a combination that will be surely popular in the market and this is through their very own Kimshian The House of Takoyaki and Milk Tea.
The owners did a lot of research to come up with their menu. They started in formulating recipe for their Takoyaki. At first, they used to order from a supplier a particular flour used for Takoyaki and also for other ingredients such as green onion, pickled red ginger strips, also the bite size pieces of octopus and a special sauce. Later on, they have discovered their own recipe and even their own version of the flour used for it making it softer and more pleasurable to eat. From these they have created their own variety of menu for the takoyaki namely Salted Shrimp, Baby Octopus, Ham and Crispy Alamang. For their milk tea, they chose popular flavors such as Wintermelon, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Taro, Okinawa and many more. Also, they added snacks in the menu that their customers may also enjoy like fries and chicken chops. They also offer beverages such as Lemonade, Red Tea, Coffee, Iced Tea and others. They made sure that their customers have various choices that will meet their need and will satisfy their cravings.
In order for customers to fully enjoy their milk tea and takoyaki, they also worked hard to create a place that will make their stay comfortable and memorable as well. They made sure that the place is properly ventilated through their air conditioner and also provided wooden chairs and tables for the customers. Their interior is composed of different displays, frames, furniture that are truly catchy in the eyes and also, they made a right choice of lights that contributes well in making the place cozier and relaxing. Also, they provided a screen that plays different movies depending on the request of their customer. There is also comfort room that customers may use while they stay in their shop. They made these efforts in order to get by with the products that they offer.
