Batanes Ivatan Art Gallery is also a place for artists and people who want to immerse in making arts when the owner had devoted a part of the gallery for Painting School. This is located at 46A Eugenio Lopez Drive (Scout Albano) cor. Samar Ave, Brgy. So. Triangle, Quezon City. Anyone who is interested in arts can enroll here. No age limit and no qualifications as long as there this interest.
The instructor of the students is a proffesional artists from Batanes. These instructors don’t just teach their mediums; they are artists themselves. Artists that have a formal training and seminar. So they will teach anyone who doesn't have trainings, those who are interested and willing to learn. They will introduce students to the materials, steps, techniques and processess in painting. They'll be the one to guide and give instruction to students. So even an amateur can make artwork that is something good.
So far, many have already enrolled in their painting school. Their students have a very wide range of age. They have students that is a mother with her child and grandparent with the teenager. It will cost 1,000 pesos per session including the materials that they will use so their students wouldn't have difficulty finding all the materials on their own of course they can bring home their artworks if they want.
Having this kind of painting school is BIAG’s way of preserving and conserving arts in our way of life. Young and old ones can hand it down to the next generation.
This offer a unique learning experience for anyone. Students from this school have the opportunity to showcase their artwork and will help them to be more productive and creative.
