Asian culture is truly rich especially when it comes to food and cuisine. Here in the Philippines, we continue to support Asian foods that clearly shows how related we are to what we eat and our deep connection to our culture. In our current time today, a popular food in Japan reached the Philippines namely the Takoyaki and in a snap it matched the taste of Filipinos and now became a Pinoy favorite snack. Let us follow and discover the new talk of the town, Takoyaki.
It is truly fascinating to enjoy an octopus meat in small portions and shaped as balls. Also, it is nicely put up together with its sauce and other toppings that create not just a delectable look but it also completes the captivating taste of Takoyaki. It is commonly served fried with diced octopus’ meat inside and other ingredients such as green onions and ginger. There is also a special pan that molds its perfect round shape making it truly convenient to eat. In Japan, it is a famous street food that is heavily consumed during festivals. It is served in a boat shape container with a small stick so they can roam around while eating their Takoyaki.
Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of businesses that opened to offer Takoyaki in various places. It can be seen in stalls in transportation terminals, malls, streets and others. They all create their own version of Takoyaki that people may enjoy. Some also added other ingredients to make it tastier and others focused on how they will improve the sauce that used for it. Takoyaki truly matched the taste of Filipinos and now it became more accessible for us to relish our Takoyaki for it is a product that is widely spread nowadays because of its distinct taste.
